1. What we collect
When you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address. This is used solely for authentication — to identify your account and keep your data separate from other users.
All cigar data you enter (humidor, smoking sessions, tasting notes, ratings) is stored securely and associated with your account.
2. How we use your data
- To provide and personalize the aficio experience (taste profile, recommendations)
- To sync your data across devices
- To improve the app based on aggregated, anonymized usage patterns
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties.
3. AI features
aficio uses Google Gemini AI for cigar identification, recommendations, tasting insights, drink pairings and voice notes. When you use these features, the input you give them is sent to Google's API for processing: cigar facts from the catalog, a band or receipt photo you take, or a voice recording. The recording is turned into text and the audio is not kept; photos used for identification are not kept either. Google's API usage policies apply.
4. Data storage
Your data is stored on Supabase (hosted on AWS in the EU region). All connections are encrypted via TLS. Row-level security ensures that only you can access your own data.
5. Photos
Photos you attach to a smoke are stored in cloud storage tied to your account. Each photo lives under a link made only of random identifiers; the link is not listed anywhere, but anyone who has it can open the photo. Deleting the smoke or your account removes the photo.
6. Your rights
You can delete your account and all data associated with it yourself at any time from Settings. Under GDPR, you also have the right to access, correct or export your data; email hello@aficio.app to ask.
7. Cookies
aficio uses only essential cookies for authentication. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or advertising cookies.
